My yard is complete…
Well, I am now the proud owner of beautiful purple and gold contact equipment–a full-sized aframe, teeter, and dogwalk! I got them from Mark’s Agility Equipment in Ohio, and they look amazing. They have aluminum frames, and an aluminum composite skin, making them light enough for one person to move, but durable. I think they will withstand a Texas summer well. I elected to get USDAA/FCI contact zones on the teeter and dogwalk, since obviously if they can hit those AKC won’t be a problem. My yard actually now looks like an agility field, instead of a strange dump for only PVC. 🙂
Trip and Ticket have tried them out, and approve. It definitely gives me more flexibility in my training, but also makes me conscious about training more frequently. No more excuses for me. I hope to be able to do a better job of proofing Trip’s running dogwalk, and working on a variety of sequences.
Ticket was supposed to have a Show N Go tomorrow, but the weather looks horrible and rainy, so I will be surprised if it happens. Really hoping it does though–I would like to see what she can do with an actual novice course.
